Known for a distinct aesthetic that blends warm and hospitable Southern design with global influences, Barry Dixon spent his childhood all over the world, an upbringing which left a lasting impression in how he lives and creates. His inaugural fabric and trim collection for Vervain focuses on crossing boundaries, a theme synonymous in his inspirations and designs.
Continuing in the success of his first collection, Barry's focus remains on creating interior spaces that cross the boundaries of geography, time, space, pattern and color, while bridging the past with the present and inspiring a vision for the future. The second Barry Dixon Collection for Vervain reflects his unique style and variety including prints, embroideries, silks, velvets, textures, trimmings and more. Layered with multi-dimensional, cross cultural and stylistic boundaries, the collection unifies these components into a balanced vision.
Barry Dixon opened the doors of his own design firm, Barry Dixon Inc, in 1994. With a portfolio of residential projects spanning the nation and the globe, Barry is one of the world's most sought after interior designers. On top of his second fabric and trim collection for Vervain, he has collaborated with Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth, Arteriors, Avrett and C2 Paint.
Barry's designs have been featured in numerous publications including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Traditional Home and Veranda. Additionally, his work is published in Barry Dixon Interiors, Barry Dixon Inspirations and Fortuny Interiors. Barry works and lives in his 1907 Edwardian estate, Elway Hall, located on more than 300 acres of lush farmland in Fauquier County, Virginia.
